Polling Update
The midterms are getting closer, and we’re seeing real movement in key Senate battleground states. Here’s the latest from three must-win races, which prove that Democrats are well-positioned to take back the majority this November.

Polls from Key Battlegrounds
Alaska:
Mary Peltola - 52% // Dan Sullivan - 48%
Former Rep. Mary Peltola is surging against Senator Dan Sullivan. Sullivan is failing to deliver for Alaskans, and his record of voting to gut health care and spike costs are key reasons Sullivan is the third least popular senator in the nation, according to polls.
Mary Peltola has now led in several recent polls, and a few short months ago, Cook Political Report shifted Alaska’s Senate race towards her in their ratings. Alaska voters are ready to send Mary Peltola to the Senate to fight for her agenda of Fish, Family, and Freedom.
Ohio:
Sherrod Brown - 47% // Jon Husted - 45%
Sherrod Brown has a strong record of fighting for Ohio workers and a proven ability to win tough races, and he overperformed the top of the ticket by eight points in 2024. Ohioans know that Sherrod fights for them -- unlike Jon Husted, who has regularly mocked their concerns about rising costs and said hardworking Ohioans just need to “earn more.”
This is a must-win seat, and Sherrod Brown is in a strong position to send Jon Husted home in November.
North Carolina:
Roy Cooper - 47% // Michael Whatley - 44%
The moment Roy Cooper entered this race, he made North Carolina one of Democrats’ top pick-up opportunities this cycle. While Big Oil Lobbyist Michael Whatley is only fighting for himself and special interest backers, Roy Cooper is leading the charge to make stuff cost less. This race is neck-and-neck, so we cannot take anything for granted.
Where do we go from here?
From Alaska to Ohio and everywhere across the country, voters are furious about rising costs and attacks on health care.
We have the momentum on our side, and we have to keep pushing forward all the way to November. Thanks for being on the team!
Let’s win,
Team DSCC
